New York Stadium in Rotherham to host

The final of this season's Women's Continental Cup will be held at Rotherham's New York Stadium, the Football Association has confirmed.

The match will be played on Sunday, 1 November, concluding the 2015 season.

Arsenal Ladies have won the Continental Cup three times, before Manchester City Women beat the Gunners 1-0 in last year's final, played at Adams Park.

The quarter-finals will be held this Sunday, with a repeat of the 2014 final as Arsenal host City.

"The AESSEAL New York Stadium is a fantastic facility and a great arena to play one of the biggest women's matches of the season," said FA head of women's leagues and competitions Katie Brazier.

"There are 12,000 seats at the stadium and it would be fantastic to see those filled by fans that supported the Lionesses so passionately while they were in Canada."

Alex Scott not even on the bench after being the only one who was taken to China. It's all very odd.

I'm not terribly familiar with Arsenal but are the going with Bailey as their lone striker?

Losa just said Scott's absence is due to personal reasons but her still being the only one to go to China is still odd. Carter injured.

The line up graphic had Natalia up top with Yankey and Corredera either side. Losada and Nobbs behind. Bailey between those two and the defence.

That Turner tackle was a booking in any other game.

Very nice save from van Veenendaal. Not sure who that was playing Bassett on side but she's lucky the keeper bailed her out.

Not sure how Clarke didn't put that in the back of the net. The ball to her couldn't have been any better.

Telford letting us know she's awake at the other end too. Good start for both keepers.

First blood Arsenal. And it's like Notts disappeared off the pitch for that one.

I was just about to post the same thing as Telford was getting beaten at her near post. She was unfortunate to be as exposed as she was but you would expect her to do better.

It's better for the neutrals amongst us that Arsenal scored first. Now Notts have to keep playing instead of shutting up shop like they usually do whenever they've taken a lead.

Bassett straight red. Harsh. Especially considering Turner's tackle from behind wasn't even given a yellow.

Williams header off the underside(?) of the cross bar just before half time. It's not their day is it.

Or the ref can ruin it for neutral

Notts will complain but I really don't think that Bassett sending off has has any influence on the two goals themselves.

The first one no but the second one yes. A red always changes the dynamics of the game. It's allowing Arsenal to have more time on the ball since Notts doesn't have the luxury of playing their high pressing game, which was definitely troubling the Arsenal defense at the start. Also that first goal was a bit of brilliance by Nobbs, up to the sending off Arsenal weren't the better side.

van Veenandaal is having a very good game. Notts needed that White effort to go in.

Best signing of Losa's since he's been manager

Buet got there in time, she just didn't pressure Nobbs enough.
