Football Federation Australia (FFA) today confirmed the Westfield Matildas 2016 Rio Olympic Games preparations will continue with a planned camp and tour of China to go ahead after an interim deal was accepted by the PFA.

The agreement is on the same basis as was previously offered before the Matildas’ tour of the USA was cancelled in early September.

The Westfield Matildas will play internationals against China and England in China.

Also, the PFA has advised FFA it is in the process of putting the terms for the Whole of Game CBA to its members.

I wonder if we are we going to see any Arsenal or Notts County players selected given they have a cup final around the corner. It's a rather odd time to be scheduling this kind of thing.

Why recognise that Arsenal and Notts could do with their players being rested and then rest them all apart from Alex Scott?

Can you imagine how awkward it would be if Sampson asked Losa and Passmoor which of their players he can and can't have for this trip and Losa has divided up his squad into 'keep at home' and 'can do without'. I really wouldn't want to be Scott in that scenario. I have a hard time believing it will have played out like that but really hope it hasn't.

The games are vs China on 23rd and vs Australia on 27th. It sounds like twitter updates is all we're getting.

Very poor performance. And if the jet lag or tiredness is to blame then this trip has been a waste of effort.

Hopefully tomorrow's match will be a big improvement now they've all had an extra few days to acclimatise. Everybody looked visibly exhausted after half an hour. We will also be aided by the fact the odd number of participating teams has meant differing amounts of days between matches for each - Australia have only had two days recovery whereas we haven't played since last Friday.
