The weather forecast is pretty grim today. I hope the football isn't ruined by the rain. The fact it is on TV might give us some protection from it being called off, but if they went ahead just for the sake of not ruining the TV schedule that could mean a pretty poor pitch being played on. I remember a few seasons ago when they shovelled 4inches of snow off the Halton pitch just to get a Merseyside derby broadcast and all because the pitch was artificial. It was clearly still a frozen and unsafe surface and would have been postponed if not for being on TV. I also can't see many turning up to stand in the rain either. Shame really, because this could have been good match up otherwise.

That looks like 1st choice vs 1st choice to me. Let's hope there are more goals in this one than in the last televised game.

Does Rafferty always play on the right for Chelsea?

Man City England girls have to be fatigued at this point.

Nice goal from Duggan and even better assist from Corboz, but Blundell(?) really should have got something on her attempted interception.

Decent game for the neutral so far. It could do with a couple more goals though, which you would think are coming given both teams are getting quite a bit of the ball around the opposition box. I would say City have marginally been the better of the two when in those areas.

Chelsea get one back through Aluko.

Arsenal like this.

This my first time seeing Corboz play but I'm impressed. She will be a nice pick up for them if they can keep her long term.

That was a great tackle from Beattie to deny Coombs. She could easily have gotten that very wrong.

Oops, Rafferty. Unnecessary foul and unnecessary deflection on the free kick. Chelsea were good for a point today as well. But I suppose it is better for the title race that they get nothing.

Sounds like Notts County are on the back foot at the moment

I'm not able to listen. Is the current scoreline down to Notts having a cup hangover or have Bristol levelled up?

Possibly a bit of both...

I have just lost about 20 mins of the second half though as my internet on this campsite kicked me off.

The first half it definitely sounded like Notts were missing something. They missed a lot of goal opportunities before Bristol scored their goal - which was a bit of a shock.

The bottom of the table could really do with a Bristol win tonight. I hope they can hang on and take the points.

It will definitely make the last four Bristol games interesting - seeing as they are due to play Liverpool twice and Birmingham at home in the league.

Attendance of 1,032 - impressive for a midweek game I think!

It will be a fun conclusion if Birmingham and Bristol finding form coincides with Liverpool's slump continuing. I don't think anybody would have expected the latter to be closer to participating in a relegation fight than a title fight. I don't expect it will play out exactly like that though. Liverpool having a game in hand distorts things somewhat for a start. I would be entertained enough by just seeing the gap between Bristol and Birmingham closed. A third team being involved down there would be a bonus.

Having looked at who Liverpool have left to play I think it could be a three way fight - I think they are in for a tough few weeks! Especially considering their injuries. The Sunderland game will be interesting.

I think Bristol may have the "easier" ride to end the league as other than playing Birmingham and Liverpool, they only have Man City left to play away. Birmingham and Liverpool both compete against several teams looking to win the title.

Having said that, it probably works in Liverpool's favour that two of their last six matches are against Bristol.

re: Liverpool's game in hand... does anybody know why the City-Liverpool game from April was shifted to September in the first place? I don't recall the postponement even being announced never mind explained. That is also a really unusual length of time between the original date and the rescheduled date even by WSL standards. It's all a bit odd.
